With Wedding photography (and really all types of Portrait Photography) a key to getting a great shot is always in the little details. Sometimes the difference between a decent shot and an amazing shot can be the slight twist of a foot placement to make your subjects look their best. I remember when I started out in Wedding Photography I took a workshop from Bambi Cantrell and while I didn’t feel like I got a ton out of the workshop I did really learn a few very simple things on how to position peoples feet and shift their weight to get a great portrait.
If you want to learn some great tricks on posing check out these 4 videos from wedding photographer Lexia Frank. The audio isn’t that good 🙁 (photographers please invest in good audio to go with that DSLR!!!) but the content is really helpful if you are getting started in portraits. Check it out and let me know your feedback/questions below…
