One of the new features of Lightroom CC is a HDR merge feature. The new HDR Merge lets you capture the full range of light, no matter how challenging the exposure. Use HDR Merge to combine the darkest and lightest areas from a series of shots of the same scene into a single HDR photo. You only need 2 photos to do an HDR image and i’ll show you an example here with a image that was very underexposed to get the shadows and also overexposed to capture the highlights in the foreground.
To use the HDR feature just select the two photos and then click Photo > Photo Merge > HDR to open the Photo Merge dialog box.
This will create a preview and lets you set the deghost amount from none to high. There is also a deghost overlay checkbox if you want to see what section of the photo that is effecting.
For this final image I left the deghost set to medium and have to say I was pretty impressed with the final outcome of the photo.
