There is a smaller selection of photo editing apps for the iPad as opposed to the iPhone. Since the iPad is still new, more and more developers who have iPhone apps will migrate some of those to the iPad. Camerabag by Neversoft was one of the early adopters to move on their apps success on the iPhone to the iPad.
I first learned of the Camerabag app when I bought an iTouch over a year ago. The app had some unique filters which give your photogaphs a quick and easy creative effect. I am glad to see that not only did Neversoft give us iPad owners these great effects, but also more control the effects have on our images.
When first installed on your iPad, you are greated with a clean and easy to use interface. Main tasks such as load, save, email and photo/app options are easily distinguishable with recognizable icons. Once a photo is opened in the program, a feature of the iPad makes viewing the effects easy, swiping the photo left or right. You can also change the effect by selecting one in the filter menu at the bottom of the screen. In November, A new addition to all the Camerabag apps is the ‘Vary’ button. This takes the effects from a filter and changes it slightly (open shadows a bit, remove vignette, make warmer or cooler, etc). This is one of the apps best features.

The Camerabag for iPad (http://www.nevercenter.com/camerabag/ipad/) app also has some further customizable options aside from the preloaded effects. You can choose specific borders and cropping via separate menu items. For example, you can take a filter and load a border or crop from another effects.
Despite all these strengths, I found a few problems and exclusions that hold it back from being perfect. Load times for getting a picture into the app and for generating filter previews is not long, but not as fast as other apps. I also wish that the cropping method allowed me to crop how I liked as opposed to a preset. The biggest exclusion was the limited sharing options. Camerabag only allows you to save to your camera roll and email the photo. Leaving out options to tweet, add to Flickr or facebook are pretty hard to swallow in today’s world.
For $2.99, it is an affordable and easy way to add some style to your photographs on the iPad. (3.5 out of 5 stars)

Take a look at “iAlbum” and “iAlbum Portrait” on the App Store. Both are virtual photo albums for the iPad that look and feel just like the real thing. A beautiful and intuitive way to showcase your photos, and a great space saving alternative to the physical albums.
