If you have a business Facebook page or even just post your own work on your personal Facebook page you obviously want your images to be seen in the best light. When you are uploading a image to Facebook they do resize the image so we need to be mindful of that when exporting our images in Lightroom.
Facebook supports 3 different sizes for images. Here is the width of the sizes they support:
720 px, 960 px, 2048 px
Also for cover photos they support images that are 851×315 px.
(note on cover photos only: To avoid compression when you upload your cover photo, make sure the file size is less than 100 KB.)
Images should be saved as a JPEG with an sRGB color profile. Here is how I have my Lightroom export dialog box set to when I’m going to add a photo to Facebook.
Also if you want to see the sizes for all the images that show up on your Facebook feed check out this cool infographic.
If you like our articles remember to share them on Facebook, Twitter or +1 them on Google. I appreciate you spreading the word to your photo friends! Also remember to always start a conversation by leaving a Facebook comment at the bottom of the page.
