Along with the updated repair tool that Pixelmator released in version 3.2 last week they also added another very helpful feature when you are working with a lot of layers. When you are in the layers panel you can now click on the gear icon at the bottom and choose to Lock the layer. This will prevent you from moving the layer or performing any editing on the layer.
