This months photo contest is going to be on my favorite subject…. Weddings. Weddings for me are the ultimate thing to photograph. It’s a day packed full of excitement, you are working at an insane and rapid pace but at the same time trying to create the most artistic best shots you have ever created. It’s an extreme challenge and rewarding like none other. So I want to see your best wedding shot, show us that amazing creative image that you have created from a wedding.
There will be two different winners with this contest. Just like last month we will let everyone vote on their favorite, the fan favorite will win a $100 giftcard from Black River Imaging. Also I will pick another grand prize winner for a $100 giftcard from Black River Imaging and a few runner ups that will get iTunes cards. And as a little extra bonus the winner that I choose will also get a one hour mentor session with me. For any Northern Ca locals i’ll take you out to coffee one day and we can chat photography and for anyone else we can have a one hour phone chat.
The contest will end next week on Wednesday August 11, 2010 and then we will open it up for voting. To enter just upload your image below where it says “Add Photo” (max size 600×400). Make sure to enter your website address or name in the Caption so we know who you are! Also only one entry per person. NOTE: Once you click submit the image does need to be approved and may take a few hours, just click the submit button once we will get your entry online soon.

Perhaps the contest entry “form” should ask for contact info? Just in case someone might like to know if they won?
This form only has a field for the caption so I just ask that everyone enters their website or name there.

And how would I add contact info to a photo that has already been submitted without contact info?

Hello Mark. A few people attempting to cast their votes have shared with me that there is a “no change” message when they click “Vote” and as the statement suggests, the votes aren’t being counted. Any feedback you can provide is much appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks for your comment. The voting does only allow one vote per IP address so one person per internet connection basically. Sometimes though there is a delay in the count and it might cache the page so if it doesn’t seem like the vote was counted just give it a few minutes and try from another browser and you should see the count change.

When does voting close?
Mark. I appreciate your feedback about the “no change” comment when casting votes. However, there still seems to be an error of some sort. Several people are telling me they are experiencing problems casting their vote and I share your feedback, but they’re still having the problem. I tried to vote for myself from a different computer and immediately got the “no change” comment, but ironically I voted for the photo next to mine and it went through not once, but twice – hmmm?! All things considered, I just wanted to make sure you are aware. Thanks again.
