Earlier this week I posted a question on Facebook and Twitter that got some good responses and a pretty big variety. It was a simple question, what is your must have lens? There was a huge variety of responses from 50mm primes to 70-200 zooms and it got me wanting more info. So today a quick post, what is your favorite lens and why? Leave a comment below with what your must have lens is and why you can’t live without it.
For me I would say my must have lens is actually the cheapest lens in my bag, a Canon 50mm 1.4. While it’s not as sexy as it’s sister lens the 1.2, I love the size of the lens so compact, small and super light weight. When 
traveling or just shooting candid images it doesn’t distract and lets you blend into the scene much better than that nice 70-200 that I also love. It’s also just a beautiful lens, extremely sharp, the color is amazing out of it and the bokeh that you get when shooting portraits at f/1.4 is beautiful. And finally its a very affordable lens, at around $350 for the quality you get it’s amazing.

It’s a hard question, I can’t tell you which lens is my favorite. I can, much easier, tell you that the kit lenses my first camera came with are not my favorite.
I love the lenses I bought myself, as I got them for a reason, and I chose the particular ones also for a reason. Those would include my Canon 50mm f/1.8, Canon 100mm Macro f/2.8L IS USM and the ultra wide-angle Sigma 10-20mm. Arek
