Adobe seemed to really irritate a lot of people recently when they announced all further versions of their creative suite software will be available only through the creative cloud and not boxed software anymore. I saw so many forum posts and people saying they were going to abandon ship. Many of you might not think there are real quality Photoshop alternatives but there is a great app that I have been using for awhile called Pixelmator. If you haven’t heard of it yet and missed some of our tutorials you can see a few highlights in the links below. ![]()
– Pixelmator content aware fill
– Light Leak effect in Pixelmator
– Creating a cool bokeh effect in Pixelmator
– New feature of Pixelmator 2.2 Blueberry
It’s a solid app and does many things that Photoshop does but for only $14.99 in the Mac store. It’s an amazing value even if it doesn’t fully replace Photoshop and I highly recommend checking it out.
