I am excited to have a really cool new view available for all of our readers on an iPad. One of the standout apps in 2010 for the iPad was Flipboard. If you haven’t heard of Flipboard yet it is a pretty amazing app that really harnesses the beauty of the iPad by showing your content in a very simple yet effective way. You can pull in your Facebook, Twitter and other news sources into Flipboard. I highly suggest you check out Flipboard if you haven’t yet, it’s a free app so you have nothing to loose.

A developer recently took the layout style of Flipboard and made it available as a theme you can get for wordpress powered websites. Being the techie that I am I had to try it out, so for all of you iPad lovers out there check out our site now on your iPad for a brand new view. For anyone interested in getting a view like this for your blog, I got the theme from http://www.padpressed.com. It is limited however, for example you can’t leave comments on a post and it since it basically is only displaying the article you don’t see other useful parts of the site like the side navigation on our pages or the rotating banner on the homepage with top posts. But for reading on the go so you can focus on only the articles its a great way to view the content without any other distractions.
