Our next photography contest is starting today and going to be all about getting up close! I absolutely love shooting with my macro lens, it gives you such a different viewpoint on things to get really close up and I use mine pretty often. Even at weddings i’ll use the macro lens a lot for detail shots, its a great lens for ring photos, close up’s of flowers, etc… There are so many creative ways to use a macro lens and we want to see your best image!

So get out your best Macro shot and add it below. This contest is also going to be a little bit different than our past. This time you get to vote on what image you think is the best. To enter just upload your image below (max size 600×400) by Monday May 24st. Make sure to enter your website address or name in the Caption so we know who you are!

NOTE: Once you click submit the image does need to be approved and may take a few hours, just click the submit button once we will get your entry online soon. Also please wait until after the 24th to cast your vote so you can see all of the images.

After the 24th we will leave all of the images in the gallery for one more week to give everyone time to cast your vote, you have until Friday May 28th at 5:00pm PST to vote on your favorite image. The winner will get a $100 giftcard from Black River Imaging! Plus to to celebrate the launch of my latest iPhone and iPad app, Wedding Photography 101 I am throwing in a $25 iTunes card.
