As many of you know that have been reading this site for awhile I love off camera lighting and have used PocketWizards for awhile with my wedding work. They have just released an update to their PocketWizard Plus Transceiver, the PocketWizard Plus® III. It’s an update to the very popular PocketWizard Plus® II which has been a standard in the industry for awhile and an extremely reliable Transceiver. It looks like a pretty solid update to the plus II Transceiver and here some some of the key updates:

  • 32 Channels
  • Quad Zone Triggering
  • 2 stage remote camera triggering
  • Auto relay mode
  • High speed receive (up to 14 FPS)
  • Sleek and rugged new redesign
  • It looks like a solid upgrade on paper so once I can get my hands on one i’ll do a full review as well as compare it to the Pocketwizard MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 that I reviewed awhile back.

You can order on B&H here, Pocketwizard Plus III for $139.

Check out this great video from Joe McNally using these on cars along with an overview video of some key features of the Plus III
