One thing that we did last year that was really fun was a post for everyone to share their photo blog. It was great to see everyone’s work and the wide variety of styles that you all have. There are some talented photographers that visit this site and one thing I love about blogs is the mix of professional and personal work along with reading a little bit about you. So many of you have such great blogs, your posts are witty, fun and of course great images! I have been blogging for my studio for about 6 years now and do enjoy sharing my work with my clients. It also gives you a great way to market to new clients and lets people get to know you before they even step in the door. From a marketing perspective I think blogging for your photography business can be one of the best marketing tools out there. As an artist I always get a little nervous every time I hit the publish button on my blog, there is this fear that nobody is going to read the post, or people will hate the images, all these things go through my mind when I press that publish button. But I do love blogging, it gives me a great way to share some of my favorite images with my clients and post some personal things about myself so they can get to know me better, when I have that perfect shot that I capture I want to share it with the whole world. We are all so passionate about our art so our blog can be a great way to communicate and share that passion. Although I don’t have the time to write a post every day like I would like, I do try and keep it updated at least twice a week.
