Also if you are wondering why a bracket is important, let me just say for wedding and location shooters this is really an essential piece of gear. We should always have our flash above the lens axis to remove unwanted shadows and it’s probably something I should write up an entire article about. If you currently use flash on camera take a look at the vertical shots that you capture and the shadows behind the subject. Using a bracket brings the flash up above the lens whether you are shooting vertical or horozinal so helps to get rid of those ugly shadows behind people.
