So much great photo news going around lately. Lots of stuff from Nikon released, some tech goodies at CES announced and now today Adobe announced the next version of Lightroom (Lightroom 4) is now available to download as a beta. You can download it from Adobes site here: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom4/ and here are a few key highlights of what Lightroom 4 will bring:

  • White balance brush to refine and adjust white balance in specific areas of your images. – This is pretty awesome will review it for everyone really soon!
  • Additional local editing controls let you adjust noise reduction. – I am happy to see more local controls in Lightroom!
  • Improved Highlight and shadow recovery.

  • New Photo book creation.
  • Location-based organization lets you find and group images by location, assign locations to images, and display data from GPS-enabled cameras.
  • Extended video support for organizing, viewing, and making adjustments and edits to video clips.
  • Email directly from Lightroom using the email account of your choice
  • And check out the video below from Adobe highlighting some of the new features of Lightroom 4.
