With Lightroom 4 officially rolling out as a Beta last night there are a bunch of articles I am working on to showcase the new improvements and also some of the behind the scene changes made to Lightroom 4. If you are a Lightroom user make sure to subscribe to our email updates at the top right of the site so you don’t miss any of these articles.
One thing that I was very happy to see added into Lightroom 4 was some extra adjustment brushes! Always a big fan of the adjustment brush it’s nice to see even more control in here now. With Lightroom 4 they are adding 3 new adjustments to the adjustment brush section. You can now apply local adjustments for color, noise and Moire! Having the ability to adjust the color balance on just a specific part of an image will be very helpful for times when shooting in mixed light or also just for very artistic editing.
With the local color adjustments you can easily modify the color, here I gave the color temp on the sky more blue to make it pop. Really quick and easy, this feature will be very handy.
Being able to do refined local adjustments are one of the strongest points in Lightroom and now with even more ways to enhance an image it makes the program even better. To check out some of the cool things you can do with the current adjustment brushes in Ligthroom 3 check out there tutorials we wrote:
